Celebrity Cruises Edge Villa
Ever since the Celebrity Edge was introduced, I've had my eyes on the Edge Villa. With 950 square feet of two-story living, it even has 2 bathrooms. Is this the perfect suite for family cruising? Let's find out!
By booking ahead, you can often get a great price on a room or suite. I was able to do that for our September 2025 cruise on Celebrity Beyond...I was able to book an Edge Villa for a price I've never seen before. I jumped on it! Here's another trick to keep in mind: We originally booked it for my husband and me; however, our son decided he wanted to go at the last minute. Even after final payment, you can add a 3rd or 4th guest at the same package pricing you originally reserved. This worked out perfectly!
The Edge Villa is an upper-level suite in The Retreat, only found on Celebrity Edge class ship. It has 1 bedroom located on the top floor (deck 16) and the bottom level (deck 15) is where the living area, dining table, and second full bathroom is located. The first level living area has a sofa bed and plenty of storage for additional guests. For awareness, note that the bedroom on the top floor is not private, as it doesn't have a door or walls separating it from the stairs downstairs. This is actually a great feature if you have small children on the sofa bed downstairs and you want to keep one ear out for them. But if you have older kids, or extended family or friends, it may not be the most ideal.
Besides the photos below, I've also included a short tour of our Celebrity Edge Villa 15103 at the end.
And it's a gorgeous suite with many hidden perks! You have two doors on two floors for exiting and returning. From your main door on deck 15, you are allowed to use a "hidden" Crew Only door to get into the Retreat Lounge from the back. This is so fun as the staff treats you like their neighbor! Leave your Edge Villa using the main door on deck 16, and you'll find yourself on the Retreat Sundeck, where you can head out for sun and fun, or head inside the ship, and you'll walk directly into Luminae.
And then there is the plunge pool! The Edge Villa veranda and plunge pool is stellar, truly one of the best features I've ever experienced in a suite. We've had a hot tub in the Royal Suite veranda on Celebrity Solstice-class ships, but the plunge pool is more like a true built-in pool, not like a bathtub. With a bench on both sides, powerful jets for a wonderful massage and bubbles, plus cool lights you can control (along with the temperature), I didn't want to leave it, day or night.
