Boca Raton Resort and Club
Review of Boca Raton Resort for Family Travel
Our family has always loved staying at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, now called The Boca Raton. Michael Dell, through his investment firm MSD Partners, purchased the Boca Raton Resort & Club in June 2019. It was rebranded to be called The Boca Raton in 2021 and extensive renovations have been done throughout the property over the past years. As it now looks amazing and quite different, I am nostalgic and don't want to remove the page with our memories of the old Boca Raton Resort & Club. We have visited the new, spectacular The Boca Raton and have even fallen more in love with it. See updated The Boca Raton review and photos here. As you are scrolling down this page, I've noted the updates (in this color green) you'll find when visiting The Boca Raton in 2025.
Our detailed photo review of the gorgeous Boca Raton Resort in Boca Raton, Florida for timeless luxury family travel. It's a destination in itself or even if you only have a couple days to add on to a cruise vacation. Located in between Florida's Intercoastal and the Atlantic Ocean, it's only about 25 miles north of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades. Rooms and suites are available at various prices and combinations, every restaurant is outstanding, and the staff is terrific with families. Besides being right on the beach, there are 13 pools, including family pools and adult only, and even an elegant spa for pre-cruise relaxing. Don't miss the famous Serendipity to indulge in delicious ice cream and other treats!
2025 Updates for the photos below include a beautiful refresh of the lobby. It's still maintained its elegance, but with a lighter, brighter feel done in whites and neutrals. The Palm Court also still exists but it's also much brighter and glamourous. It's remained one of our favorite spots on the property. Sadly, Serendipity is gone. Although I'm in love with Maison Rose for decadent macarons and chocolates. They are unique and ohh, so good! See updated The Boca Raton review and photos here.

The grounds have been updated but still remain familiar. You'll find even the landscaping now has an elevated modern look. However, you'll still find the old favorites, like visiting the Banyan tree, admiring the stunning golf course and Lake Boca, playing a few rounds of bocci, and taking in the magical gardens.

The accommodations at The Boca Raton haven't changed location, but they've had a wonderful refresh. There are five distinct locations and with even larger suites and suite amenities, you'll enjoy many perks during your stay, no matter what location you choose. Our favorite has been the Yacht Club, which I reviewed here, as our boys are now older and considered "adults". This adult-only hotel is sophisticated with wonderful marina views, 5-star service, and the most delicious complimentary breakfast buffet - it's truly my favorite! Click below to find more about each, and the amenities from their website:
ACCOMMODATIONS
We stayed in the Tower in a King Junior Suite in room 2365 below. The enormous windows bring in lots of light to an already bright and airy room. Along with roll-away beds upon request and the pull-out sleeper sofa, it's a perfect size for a family of 4 (possibly 5, if you have smaller children.) The large bathroom with double sinks has lots of room for dressing.
Dining Options
The variety of dining options are fantastic! Explore the blue, Seagrille, Beaches Restaurant & Bar, and 501 East Kitchen & Bar by clicking on each restaurant below to see photos and menus. And, of course you can have breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Explore the current room service breakfast menu.

|
Update 2025: Seagrille has been reconfigured at the Beach Club property but the wonderful dining experience hasn't changed
|
Update 2025: The pool area at the main resort is called the Harborside Pool Club. You'll find refreshing and delicious food and beverages
|
Update 2025: 501 East Kitchen is also gone, but fabulous golf dining has taken it's place. It's casual and with top-notch food

Boca Beach Club
The Boca Raton Resort is located on the Intercoastal; however, they offer complimentary shuttle service and a ferry to take guests over to their beach property, Boca Beach Club. Just one step in the lobby and you'll be mesmerized with the views.
If you have the chance, an Oceanfront Cabana at the Boca Beach Club is the BEST. Inside you'll find a dining table, television, and bathroom with a shower. Also included is private butler service, bottled water, fruit platter, towels and more. Order a delicious lunch, snacks, or drink from Beaches Restaurant and Bar.
Fun Facts
- Text housekeeping or your Butler! There is a number in your room to send a text to request turn down times, extra amenities for the bath, and more. They will personally text back quickly and respond.
- Update 2025: There is now a refrigerator in every room! And it's stocked with water, soda, and their own craft been. Plus snacks for the family. This is a new, amazing perk, which is one of my favorites! Request a refrigerator! For a one-time fee (currently $50) you can have a mini-fridge delivered to your room to use throughout your stay. This is very handy if you want to keep drinks and snacks for the kids.
- Parking fee covers both resorts! Instead of taking the shuttle or ferry over to the Boca Beach Club, we often requested our car from valet and made the quick drive over. Once there, use your same parking ticket. You'll even get a rousing "welcome back!"
