Celebrity Constellation
Built in 2002, Celebrity Constellation (often affectionately referred to as "The Connie") is kept up nicely for an older ship. Part of the Millennium class of ships (Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Summit, and Celebrity Constellation), it is a traditional navy blue and white on the outside, with elegant decor on the inside and lots of character. It was recently refurbished and up-scaled to include the newest Celebrity Cruises restaurants, such as Tuscan Grille, Sushi on Five and the delicious Café al Bacio & Gelateria. These venues are terrific, as well as the enthusiastic and accommodating staff on this ship. Also, an advantage to a slightly older ship is that when upgrading to a Concierge Class cabin or some of the suites, you'll find the cabin size is substantially larger. See the comparisons on my cabin chart. There is so much character to the Celebrity Constellation - she's a classic!
Virtual Hint: Celebrity Cruises is known for unique and fun artwork found throughout their ships. The sculptures and art are enjoyable for kids of all ages. (They are usually pretty durable, too.)
