Favorite Key West Excursion Recommendations
A Taste of Key West
Available as a ship sponsored excursion, even our boys loved this walking tour. It is located in the "Culinary" section of the excursion brochures, but it's a terrific family or group tour as well. It's only 2 hours long, so you'll have plenty of time to do another excursion or explore Key West on your own before the ship departs. This walking tour is probably about 1.5 miles in total before returning to the ship. The highlights are definitely the stops for local cuisine along the way, but our knowledgeable and amusing tour guide included lots of city history and fun facts, which made this tour enjoyable for everyone. We stopped at a hotel and tried local seafood on their pier, sampled various hot sauces at Peppers of Key West and ended with authentic Key Lime Pie at Kermit's. Included in the price, you'll even get a fun, quality tee shirt to take home and always remember Key West.

Key Lime Bike Tour
A great, active way to see the city, for 3 hours, you'll have the opportunity to explore Key West on bicycles (with helmets provided, of course) with a terrific tour guide. You'll find out about the history and legends of Key West and even stop for a piece of traditional Key Lime pie along the way. You can either purchase this excursion directly through your ship or after you disembark, look for a kiosk not far from the ship and they will be able to start you right there.
Key West Old Town Trolley
A great way to experience Key West and do as much or as little as you'd like. This trolley tour provides a knowledgeable driver who will entertain and inform you along the way. There are approximately 12 stops that you can get off and explore. These tours are always great for an over view. (I always recommend to take the tour in it's entirety, but make a note of the stops you'd like to return back to on your own.) Visit http://www.trolleytours.com/key-west/ to find out more about this tour and/or to purchase tickets in advance.
Hop-On-Hop-Off Conch Tour Train
Another great tour to experience the Conch Tour Train. Many cruise lines offer this tour in conjunction with a visit to the Key West Aquarium as well. This highly rated tour offers the advantage to be able to hop on and off in order to take more time to explore shopping, restaurants and historical sites on your own. (I always recommend to take the tour in it's entirety, but make a note of the stops you'd like to return back to on your own.) Key West City Tour
Love touring, but have limited mobility or need a multi-language translator? This is a great bus tour sponsored by Celebrity Cruises for those who have difficulty getting around with ease, but still want to experience the tropical and historical city of Key West. This tour is appropriate for guests who need specially equipped transportation to accommodate walkers or wheelchairs. Additionally, you'll have the option to listen to the tour narration in the language that you choose upon boarding. No matter what your capabilities, language and interests are, everyone will have a fantastic time.
