Celebrity Apex
In March 2023, we decided to experience Celebrity Apex, one of the newest Celebrity Cruises Edge Class ships. This ship class is only slightly larger then the previous Celebrity Cruises Solstice Class ships, but with more restaurants, larger pools, a more conducive layout if you are staying in The Retreat in a suite, and of course...more glamour. See below for a quick photo tour of the highlights of the Celebrity Cruises Apex ship. It quickly became one of our now favorites!
If you have the opportunity to enjoy a suite in The Retreat on Celebrity Cruises, you are in for a treat! You'll start out with a very easy and personal boarding experience in the newest Terminal 25 suite lounge at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Not only are there comfortable lounge chairs and tables, but you'll also find a terrific spread of savory and sweet snacks, along with sodas, water, coffee and tea. It's a truly luxurious experience and the best way to start off your Celebrity Cruises vacation in suite style.

Accommodations
We often choose to enjoy The Retreat area on a Celebrity Cruises. A Celebrity Cruises Sky Suite is a spaciously sized suite and a perfect entry level into the exclusive suite class on Celebrity Cruises. It could actually sleep one or two more smaller guests if using the sofa bed. The workstation is convenient for additional storage, as well as as having a separate spot to work on your computer or dressing. You'll find much more closet space than is offered in a Deluxe Stateroom. Plus, the bathroom is generous with a combined tub and shower, a large sink, and plenty of drawer and shelf space.
However, now that our boys are older, we often have to get 2 rooms. On Celebrity Apex, we had a Celebrity Cruises Sky Suite plus a Concierge Stateroom. Even though the Retreat benefits are exclusive to those staying in suites, as long as you've book one suite, there are limited Retreat packages that you can purchase for a linked non-suite room to give them the suite benefits. We did this option so that our sons could join us in Luminae, on the Retreat Deck, and in the Retreat Lounge.
If you've booked directly with a Celebrity Cruises Vacation Planner, they can provide the Retreat package option for you. (If you don't have one, contact me and I'm happy to provide the name and contact information for our amazing Celebrity Cruises Vacation Planner who has helped us for years.)
