Celebrity Cruises For Kids

Celebrity Cruises for Luxury Family Travel

I've been asked many times and the answer is...YES! Celebrity is GREAT for kids of all ages. Not only are there a multitude of events for you to do as a family, but for each child you'll find terrific planned activities divided into age-appropriate groups. They accommodate any type of eater (i.e. picky toddler, growing teenager, even excellent with food allergies.) Plus, the staff is brilliant in making children of all ages feel welcome. Even without the adventure entertainment found on larger ships with other cruise lines, my boys always have a wonderful time finding something to do. They've even been known to venture into an Art Auction, mesmerized by the fast talking, entertaining auctioneer.
So whether it's Ping-Pong, croquet, basketball, swimming, arcades, or just taking in the sun and sites in the fantastic ports, kids will most enthusiastically have a great time when cruising on a luxury ship.
Solarium Pool on Celebrity Cruises
The Solarium pool is typically for guests 16 and older. However, on cold weather cruises (Alaska) they often open it up for families at a certain time of day.
Movie theater on Celebrity Cruises
After Celebrity Solstice was "solsticized", she now includes an amazing movie theater on the top deck.
Basketball court on Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Cruises offers a basketball court on many of their ships which is a popular spot. They offer tournaments or stop in for a pick up game.

Game Room and Arcade

Kids Activities on Celebrity Cruises
Everyone loves the games at the arcade on Deck 15. You will need a SeaPass to play.
Kids Activities on Celebrity Cruises
Air hockey is always popular

Kids Activities on Celebrity Cruises
On Celebrity Reflection, if your cabin location is not far from mid-ship on Deck 9, look for "Game On" for the kids to occupy themselves with electronic table games. This will keep them busy when adults want some extra relaxing or dressing time in the cabin (although sometimes it's hard to keep the adults away as well.)

On All Ships: Celebrity Cruises Fun Factory and X Club

If you are going as a family, attempt to see if the children's supervised activities appeal to your children. They are complimentary and always run by terrific staff. Typically divided into four age groups starting at age three, each level has activities that are appropriate and fun for their age group. My boys never spent too long at the camps or clubs, but even for the short time they were there, I still have a nice collection of hand decorated pillow cases and tee shirts with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity logos.
