Celebrity Cruises for Kids and Family Travel
I've been asked many times and the answer is...YES! Celebrity is GREAT for kids of all ages. Not only are there a multitude of events for you to do as a family, but for each child you'll find terrific planned activities divided into age-appropriate groups. They accommodate any type of eater (i.e. picky toddler, growing teenager, even excellent with food allergies.) Plus, the staff is brilliant in making children of all ages feel welcome. Even without the adventure entertainment found on larger ships with other cruise lines, my boys always have a wonderful time finding something to do. They've even been known to venture into an Art Auction, mesmerized by the fast talking, entertaining auctioneer.
So whether it's Ping-Pong, croquet, basketball, swimming, arcades, or just taking in the sun and sites in the fantastic ports, kids will most enthusiastically have a great time when cruising on a luxury ship.
Celebrity Cruises Age Limits by Venue
There are restrictions, this is what keeps Celebrity Cruises popular for all ages - families, solo traveler's, couples, and many more. See the chart below provided by Celebrity Cruises for age restrictions by venues on the ships. These are subject to change at any time, but for the most part, these are great guidelines to be mindful of.

On All Ships: Celebrity Cruises Fun Factory and X Club
If you are going as a family, attempt to see if the children's supervised activities appeal to your children. They are complimentary and always run by terrific staff. Typically divided into four age groups starting at age three, each level has activities that are appropriate and fun for their age group. My boys never spent too long at the camps or clubs, but even for the short time they were there, I still have a nice collection of hand decorated pillow cases and tee shirts with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity logos.
