Il Fornaio for Authentic Italian Cuisine
Located in the Westin San Jose Hotel, you can also find ll Fornaio throughout the country. The first time I dined at Il Fornaio was at their Palo Alto, California location and when I heard there was one in San Jose, I couldn't wait to get back! We decided to dine here after spending the afternoon at The Tech Museum of Innovation only a few blocks away. It was a glorious afternoon outside in San Jose, as the weather usually is, so it was an enjoyable short walk for dinner.

As soon as the fresh-from-the-oven olive rosemary bread arrived at our table, I knew we were in for a delicious meal.

We each started out with appetizers. I'll admit, we finished every last bite.

And then dinner. Our waiter gave me a tip that if you are not hungry enough for a full meal, the specialty pasta dishes can be ordered in half portions as well.

We had one of the best waiters I've had in a while. George was fantastic and helped me select my wine and dinner choices perfectly. Even down to dessert. We just couldn't resist dessert. But after such a big meal, we had them box it up to go.
