Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore, Maryland

Explore our detailed photo tour in 2016 and review of Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore, Maryland. Only minutes away from the Cruise Maryland terminal and a short ride from BWI airport, the Hotel Monaco at 2 North Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 is also conveniently located close to many popular attractions in the Inner Harbor, but yet still maintains its old world charm. A little history! The building was originally built in 1906 as the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Headquarters. It was then managed by Kimpton in 2009 as the Hotel Monaco. True to Kimpton's boutique philosophy, they have maintained the building beautifully.

The marble stairs are one of the few staircases preserved by the National Park Service.
The chandeliers, gold accents, and marble stairs and walls are stunning.
Looking down on the entranceway.
Warm colors are found throughout. This is perfect for welcoming you to the lobby.

At Hotel Monaco, even your pet is welcome. Bring your doggy along and they'll get a special treat at check-in.
There are lots of beautiful days in Baltimore. Take advantage and borrow a bike to do your sightseeing.
I love welcoming fresh flowers.
Elegant and comfortable lobby.
Just one of many seating areas in the lobby. With a gas fireplace too, this is a relaxing place to lounge.
Lobby elevators to the rooms. We were always able to quickly catch one.

Baltimore's Kimpton Hotel Monaco Rooms

We stayed in the Pullman Suite: Double Double with Bunk Beds (Room 1430). This suite is fantastic for families! It's very spacious and has a truly accommodating layout. The adult beds are on one side and the bunk beds are on the other.
Virtual Hint: A popular feature of the bunk bed room was the xbox that came in it. Just stop at the front desk and they have a numerous selection of games to choose from.
Amazing dog photograph in the bunk room. Love this kid-friendly touch.
I'll be honest, my boys are now a bit too old for a bunk bed. But it worked out GREAT and they both said the beds are very comfortable.
Great view from adult's double/double to the kids's bunk room.
What kid wouldn't love this? (Some adults too!)
The bathroom is large and elegant.
Very spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower.
I love the dispenser soaps and shampoos. They smell delicious!
Seriously?! They even beautify their toilet paper.
Their motto: "Forgot it? We've Got it!" and just take a look at this list.
With high ceilings and beautiful furnishings, the main sleeping area is spacious and has lots of amenities.
I am a huge fan of Kimpton's stocked mini-bar. They always have so many fun treats for kids of all ages. You'll even get a $10 credit to go wild in the mini-bar.

Don't want to have a formal breakfast? They have a great room service menu, too.

Activities at Baltimore's Kimpton Hotel Monaco

When you visit Hotel Monaco or any other Kimpton Hotel, don't miss the complimentary happy hour in the evenings. It's a great way to relax at the end of the day and even meet new friends.
Meet the excellent staff as they pour you a drink.
It is truly the winter season to me when able to enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace. The kids love this too (with a soda in hand, of course!)
They also have a phenomenal coffee display in the mornings. Complimentary, too!

Up for a quiet game of chess? I love this little nook in the lobby for a little friendly competition.

After all of that delicious food (you did check out the B&O Brasserie, right?) you may want to burn some calories. They have a fantastic place to work out. You'll also find clean towels, fresh fruit, and cold water to get your exercise going.
