Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland
This detailed photo tour and review of a Baltimore, Maryland icon, the Lord Baltimore Hotel, is why you will want to visit for family travel. It's close to amazing dining, fun family activities, wonderful theaters, and more. Although, once you step into this elegant hotel you may not want to travel far. Before you visit, take a look at their website or Facebook page and see if there are any seasonal special activities happening when you'll be there. The events are spectacular and you wouldn't want to miss out! The Lord Baltimore Hotel is located at 20 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201.

Rooms
The Lord Baltimore Hotel definitely makes their guests feels special. All of the suites and rooms have been modernized while still retaining the upscale ambiance and various original features. For families, many of the rooms and suites connect if you prefer extra space with multiple rooms. Additionally, the numerous amenities found in each room include luxurious toiletries, bottled water, plush towels, complimentary high speed internet, refrigerator (to stock up on LB Bakery's pastries!) and more.
Penthouse
Take the elevator up and arrive on your very own floor for each spacious Penthouse Suite.
There are four Penthouse Suites located on the top floors of the hotel. It was a chilly and snowy day when these pictures were taken, but seriously, just look at that view!
Parlor Suite
I love the spacious Parlor Suite. It not only has a separate King bedroom and large living area with a pull-out sofa bed, but it also has two bathrooms! Perfect for families who need a little extra room.
Deluxe King/Double Queen Guestrooms
Spacious and full of luxurious amenities, the deluxe rooms are beautiful. Many of them connect with an inside door if your family likes to have two rooms for the extra privacy and bathrooms (as we do!)
During our visit in June 2017, we stayed in this spacious room corner room with two Queens (1826) below.
Dining
LB Tavern
Open daily for drinks and light fare, the LB Tavern is situated right next to the lobby. This is a great spot for my favorite hotel activity of "people watching" while enjoying a delicious cocktail or meal. The LB Tavern menu showcases numerous Baltimore local specialties and drinks. If you've never tried a traditional crabcake, this is your chance.
LB Bakery
Inside the stunning Lord Baltimore Hotel, the award-winning LB Bakery features treats created by Executive Pastry Chef Mary Elizabeth. They are sure to delight adults and children alike. On the day we visited, it was so hard to choose (we wanted to try one of each!) but since it was a chilly day outside, we decided on a Mexican Hot Chocolate Tart and an Irish Creme Macaron.
Whether you are a hotel guest or just stopping by, the LB Bakery is a terrific place to pick up a gourmet coffee, decadent pastry, or even a fresh salad or sandwich.
They'll happily box your order to go so you can bring it back to your room or anywhere else you are heading. But the LB Bakery also offers lots of great seating in a casual, bright atmosphere that is perfect to enjoy a snack or for a lunchtime retreat.
The French Kitchen
For a special place to have a wonderful dinner, look no further than The French Kitchen. First, stop by the bar for a specialty cocktail before entering the main restaurant for dinner. Explore The French Kitchen here.
This European style restaurant is stunning and their award-winning menu is spectacular. Just look at the glamorous furnishings and decor. I love how the seating allows plenty of room between the tables for an intimate dining experience.
LB Speakeasy
Right inside of The French Kitchen, you'll find the LB Speakeasy. This secluded lounge is authentically decorated in warm woods with a gorgeous metallic ceiling and colorful stained glass. It's the perfect place for adults to relax and enjoy a holiday cocktail in old world charm. It's amazing this speakeasy was hidden for so many years. It's a true treasure!
Take a look at the impressive drink menu featuring many of the authentic specialties of the speakeasy era.
LB Skybar
Open seasonally during the summer months, the Lord Baltimore Hotel offers guests and local residents the spectacular rooftop LB Skybar. Located outside on the 19th floor of the hotel, we felt like we were truly on vacation while enjoying a cocktail and gazing at one of the most mesmerizing views I've seen of the Baltimore skyline. It's the perfect place to wind down and sip a refreshing drink before or after dinner. You can even indulge in a variety of delicious bites, such as shrimp salad sliders or a charcuterie board.
Activities
Very spacious with up-to-date equipment, this is fantastic fitness center. It's the perfect way to burn off a few calories so that you can head back to LB Bakery to enjoy another pastry guilt-free.

This is a terrific Boardroom located on the 19th floor. For meetings or private dinner parties, this room has a beautiful ambiance and elegant feel. They have a very helpful staff if you have an event to arrange.
|
The Maryland Room is perfect for parties and festivities in a slightly smaller and more casual setting than the formal ballroom. Equipped with it's own kitchen, it can still provide elaborate meals and service to your guests.

Planning a party or formal affair? Their regal Calvert Ballroom is spectacular. With original crystal chandeliers and crests on the balcony, it will impress all of your guests.

Business Center
Conveniently located in the lobby, the business center offers touchscreen computers and wireless printing. But even if you prefer to work in your room or in a lounge, the Lord Baltimore Hotel offers complimentary WiFi throughout.
