Public Areas
Suites at the Salamander Resort
We stayed in a Dressage Suite. (Room 116) This suite is fantastic for families! It's so spacious and has a great layout. With beautiful decor, the Dressage Suite at the Salamander Resort is elegant yet comfortable. They provide many amenities such as complimentary bottled water, wonderful bath products
The view from our suite.
The bathroom is unbelievably large and truly elegant. It has a romantic bathtub along with a huge shower and even a television. Best of all, there is lots of storage.
How often do resorts offer turn-down service nowadays? One of the things that I loved the most was their attention to detail. After asking when you wanted turn-down service, they arrived at that exact time. They set up the kid's beds, left extra towels, dimmed the lights, set lovely music, and treated us to bottled water and melt-in-your-mouth butterscotch and pecan scones. How relaxing is that for a good night's sleep?
Dining at Salamander Resort
Gold Cup Wine Bar
This restaurant basically extends throughout the lobby. You can enjoy a meal in the main restaurant or they are happy to serve you while relaxing on a comfortable sofa in front of one of the grand fireplaces.
They offer amazing desserts!
Harrimans for Sunday Brunch
If you stay over a weekend, or even live in the surrounding area, don't miss Sunday brunch at Harrimans. It's a traditional southern spread with a twist. Shrimp and grits, prime rib carving station, lobster stuffed deviled eggs, and a fantastic dessert table. It's a feast for all of your senses.
Or you can order off of the regular breakfast menu too.
When visiting, if you don't want to have a formal breakfast in the morning they also have a fantastic room service menu.
Harrimans for Dinner
Starting off with an amuse-bouche of sweet honeydew melon with crème fraîche...
Every course we had was beautifully presented and flavorful.
Including absolutely amazing desserts.
Don't forget to let them know when making your reservations if you will be celebrating a special occasion. They will treat you well and sometimes at more than one meal!
