Fog Harbor Fish House in San Francisco
Let's get touristy! Fog Harbor Fish House was voted one of the best views in San Francisco and this traditional seafood restaurant is terrific. I dined here with my son on a recent visit to San Francisco. Despite the weather not being favorable, at our table by the window, we could still see the Golden Gate Bridge through the clouds and drizzle.
Of course, I had my meal planned before I even sat down. I couldn't wait to try their Award Winning Chowder in a Fresh Baked Sourdough Bread Bowl. Along with a side salad topped with Bay shrimp, it was a perfect lunch.
My son was enticed by Mussel Fries, which turned out to be mussels in a delicious shallot fennel cream sauce over French fries. Who would have thought?! Followed by penne with loads of fresh seafood, he was in heaven.
Fog Harbor Fish House has a great variety on the menu for all ages and palates. Additionally, for younger guests or those who don't read English, ask for the picture book to easily choose your meal through photographs.
Virtual Hint: If you go to the Aquarium of the Bay located on Pier 39, there is a coupon on the back of your ticket for a 15% discount at featured restaurants. Fog Harbor Fish House is one of them.
