Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore
A detailed photo tour and review for Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Hotel located at 550 Light Street Baltimore, Maryland 21202. During our trip to Baltimore in 2016, we chose to stay at the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Hotel. This hotel has always been a Baltimore landmark for upscale family travel and it's still maintaining this image today. Located just a short ride to Cruise Maryland at the Port of Baltimore, it's perfect for a pre- or post-cruise stay. From the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court, you can easily walk to most of the main attractions Baltimore has to offer. The Science Center is just a few steps away across the street and then walk a bit further the other direction, and you'll find yourself by the National Aquarium, great shopping and restaurants.
Rooms at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court in Baltimore
Deluxe Rooms
For traveling with kids, they have deluxe rooms with sofa beds. These rooms have either courtyard views or harbor views. Recently refurbished in 2015, all of the rooms are very spacious, modern and attractively decorated.
Harborview Premier Suite
Or upscale to the suite life! We had a Harborview Premier Suite and it was perfect. The suites are great for families who need a bit more space. With two large bay windows overlooking the Baltimore harbor, the views are spectacular.
This suite has lots of drawer and closet space, a large bar top with refrigerator (we always have leftovers!) and a sofa bed. There is even plenty of room to have a roll-away brought in if needed.
And the bathroom, SERIOUSLY, the bathroom, is amazing. Double sinks, a huge soaking tub, marble stand up shower, luxurious bath products and a huge lighted mirror...with a television in it. Yes, a TV is hidden and illuminates in the center of the mirror.
Dining at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court in Baltimore
Explorers is the intimate restaurant and lounge on the second floor of the Harbor Court Hotel. The food was delicious. We tried a few signature items from the menu, as well from the extensive wine and cocktails list.
They have lots of choices in all portions and price ranges. The kid's menu is terrific, too. (To note, these menus have recently changed from our visit in 2017. I think that means it's time to get back!)
A sampling of the menu choices...
You'll also find a small coffee bar and shop on the first floor where they serve sandwiches, salads and pastries, all prepared to go. They also have a terrific selection of drinks and coffees. If you don’t want to eat on the run or in your room, there is plenty of seating and even an overhead television for entertainment.
