Review of Kimpton's Sir Francis Drake in San Francisco, CA for Family Travel

Located in Union Square, it's gorgeous and in a fantastic location to easily explore the many different areas of San Francisco. Kimpton's style and outstanding service are exemplified as soon as you are greeted by the friendly Beefeater styled doorman at the entrance. Room
For our stay, we chose a Grand King Room on the 15th floor. This style room is also available with two Queen beds. We had a King, but they easily brought in a rollaway for my son and there was still plenty of room. The furnishings were regal and luxurious, but still very comfortable. You'll find a variety of surprises throughout your room. I loved the leopard trimmed robes and yoga mat! And make sure to check out the mini-bar snacks. I've never seen such a well-stocked selection.

Activities
A wonderful perk for tourists is that the famous San Francisco cable car stop is right in front of the hotel. It's so easy to hop on and go for a scenic ride to Fisherman's Wharf. Any shopping you want to do? You are in the right part of town! You'll find Neiman Marcus and Macy's right across the street or just walk a few blocks more and you'll find the most phenomenal Westfield Mall.
Like to explore on bicycle? Just ask and you'll be peddling away in no time. Take a short walk over to the Chinatown district for some traditional food and souvenirs. Or not sure what to do, eat or see? Stop by the concierge desk and your itinerary will be seamlessly decided.
