There are many hotels to choose from when visiting San Jose, California, so why should you stay at Fairmont San Jose? When looking for a hotel in San Jose, the options are overwhelming. Of course, I had my own criteria for a luxurious and relaxing stay. I wanted to be within only a few miles to the San Jose Airport, a pool was a must have, and I wanted a spacious room since traveling with my family. I came across the Fairmont San Jose and it checked all the boxes before and after our stay. Best Reasons Why Fairmont San Jose is a Perfect Luxury Stay:1. Not Just One, But TWO Gorgeous LobbiesNow this is an entrance! You will first step into the Main Building lobby to check in. The grand and luxurious feel hits you right away and you know you are in for a treat. With stunning chandeliers, rich colored decor, and a staff that is all about pointing you in the right direction, it will definitely wow you. If you are staying in the South Tower, you must use your key card to enter the building that is located right across the street from the Main Building. The South Tower lobby has a more modern feel with light-colored shiny marble and soft natural lighting. When you are done admiring the decor of the lobby, take one of the many elevators up to your room. They are fast to arrive and quickly move from floor to floor. 2. Suite Life Views From The South TowerIn the heart of downtown, the views from the 12th floor are stunning. We stayed in room 1276, a one-bedroom suite (also given the lovely name of "Cambria Suite.") This is a fantastic set up if staying with a family. The living room has a pull-out sofa bed and features a king bed in the large, separate bedroom. There is also an enormous bathroom, as well as a separate dressing table nook. With a desk in the living room for business needs and a huge television, there is something for everyone. When you open the curtains to expose the full-sized windows, a glorious view of the city awaits you! 3. Award Winning SushiThe food is amazing! No longer a dedicated sushi bar because of space restrictions, but they feature the same award-winning sushi prepared by the sushi chef of the Lobby Lounge for over 15 years. Even if you don't like sushi, the Lobby Lounge has amazing food for everyone. Start with a cured meat and cheese platter and end with a delicious dessert. They even have a non-alcoholic cocktail menu for kids of all ages. This area is spectacularly located in the heart of the gorgeous lobby. 4. Free Treats!Popsicles by the pool and logo bottled water upon arrival. Speaking of the pool, they provide pool towels, along with lots of rafts and inflatables for kids of all ages (wait until you see all the adults sunbathing on an inner tube!) And, ahhhh....a bottle of Fairmont San Jose was presented to us by the bell hop upon arrival. During our visit, it was an extraordinarily hot day and after traveling to the hotel, accompanied by luggage, this was a perfect greeting. 5. Service, Service, ServiceEven if you are used to luxury service, you will be impressed. When we first arrived at the main building to check-in our room, we were somewhat unsure of where to go. The two towers are connected outside with an adjoining street or walk across the bridge on the 2nd floor, It wasn't busy at the front desk and when the welcoming staff member we checked in with saw us hesitate for just a quick moment, she offered to escort us to the other building. Such a nice personal touch! Before we left the front desk, I asked if someone could make-up the sofa bed for my son. I casually requested 9:00 PM. With impeccable timing, there was a knock on the door at 9:00 PM, and not a second later. Now that is service. Other amenities that also perked my interest at Fairmont San Jose is that they have a Fed Ex facility on premise, a fantastic gift shop with extremely reasonable prices, a modern fitness facility and more. Plus, you can walk to many attractions in the area, such as San Jose Museum of Art, Plaza de Cesar Chavez, and The Tech Interactive Museum, just to name a few. If a visit here was this impressive for one night, I can only imagine staying for more! For these 5 reasons above (and SO many others) a stay at Fairmont San Jose is definitely on my list to return and I can highly recommend for anyone else to do the same.
