Step into the Magical Gardens at Chihuly Garden and Glass in SeattleWhen first planning our visit to Seattle, Washington, the top of my list was to visit Chihuly Garden and Glass. I've seen the stunning glass artwork of Dale Chihuly in a number of different museums and venues throughout my travels and have always been immediately drawn to it. Located in Seattle, this museum is filled only with his creations and beautifully designed. Plus, with playful colors and shapes, his talent seems to appeal to all types of tastes and ages. This means that hopefully even my kids would love it...and they did! (Quite a feat for two teenage boys!) From when this museum first opened in 2012, it was a perfect fit for Seattle since Dale Chihuly was born in Tacoma, Washington in 1941. Growing up in Washington state, he has a long history with studying the arts. Peek inside this magical museum below and find my personal tips on how to best plan your visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle. Tip 1: When planning your visit and not sure how to get to Chihuly Garden and Glass, it's easy. Located next to the Space Needle, just look for this spectacular architecture in the sky and head towards it. When we visited Seattle for a pre-cruise stay, we used Uber and Lyft to get around and dropped us off right out front. ![]() Tip 2: There are numerous ways to purchase your tickets. Visit their website ahead of time, ask your hotel concierge about purchasing tickets separately or in a package, or purchase at the door. When purchasing at the door, you'll use a touchpad screen to purchase the number of tickets you need and select the time you want to start your tour. It's that easy. The Gardens OutsideThey are a mix of glasswork and real, blooming flowers. Absolutely stunning! Tip 3: The museum is extensive as you walk through inside and outside gardens, however, there are benches to rest while still enjoying the artwork around you.. the gardens insideStart walking through but don't forget to look up. Even the ceilings are amazing. Smaller pieces are on display and even available for purchase. Tip 4: There is a fantastic gift shop at the end of the tour that features truly unique items, specific to the museum as well as Seattle. Also, clean and expansive restrooms are also around the corner from the gift shop if needed. Without a doubt, one of my most memorable museum visits ever. It's where I fell in love with the magic of Dale Chihuly's talents, as well as the city of Seattle.

My Virtual Vacations BlogAbout the AuthorThanks for cruising by! Along with creating this website and blog, I work in an office full-time and as a mom to two energetic teenage boys. With our family's busy work and school schedule, we look forward to traveling during holidays. Although it seems that our family can never agree on anything, we do when it comes to vacations. We typically travel on cruises or stay at luxury hotels. We enjoy upscale dining, beautiful decor, excellent service, and spacious accommodations. However, we still need family friendly and comfortable. When we are not traveling, I enjoy dining out locally, as well as cooking and baking in my own kitchen.
