Quick Look: Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival

Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival

Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival

Traveling to space and then coming back to earth to explore countries throughout the world is what Epcot, located in Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida, is all about. In 2022, Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival was from July 14 to November 19, 2022. But luckily it's an annual event and people come during these months every year to experience the extra tastes and fun Epcot offers.
What is the International Food and Wine Festival? Throughout the countries spreading over 6 continents, you'll find featured traditional foods and beverages to sample, in addition to the typical international treats found during the year. This means even more delicious food and drinks. You’ll find even more booths set-up to purchase local food (from snacks to meals to desserts) and wine (and beer and cocktails!) found in each country. During the Epcot International Food and Wine, there is even more.
Here’s a few favorite food finds from the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, and some old favorites too…
Epcot Food and Wine
Mac-and-Cheese at the Mac-and-Eats booth in Epcot
Greece at Epcot Food and Wine
Griddled Cheese Topped with Crushed Pistachios and Honey
Brazil at Epcot Food and Wine
Brazilian Cheese Bread included in the International Food and Wine Festival
French Fries at Epcot Food and Wine
Yucca Fries with Cilantro Garlic Aioli from the The Fry Basket
Japan at Epcot Food and Wine
Teriyaki Chicken Bao Bun from Japan. Try this along with Fuji Apply Saki. Delicious!
France Food at Epcot
A Frosé found in Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in France. Luckily, they have this all year long!
Belgian Waffles in Epcot
Iced Espresso from Joffrey's along with a chocolate Belgian Waffle
Epcot Food and Wine
Gorgeous views of the countries while strolling through Epcot
Epcot is also still filled with incredible rides and experiences. Going into the globe for Mission Space is still a fun thrill and oddly educational at the same time! One of my favorite rides is Soarin’ - it never gets old. I always love the space travel rides and dining in space was also a must for me at Space 220.

Virtual Tips and Hints When Visiting Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival

  • When you are staying on property (we stayed at Disney's Yacht Club Resort) take advance of the early access to enter the parks. The only downside to this is that not a lot of the food vendors are open that early so you might want to grab breakfast before you head to the park. One the early spots we found was in France at Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie which opens at 9:00. It's a perfect place to grab a quick pastry or ham and cheese croissant to start the day.
  • If you are visiting Epcot during the International Food and Wine Festival, don't feel you need to make a lunch reservation. There is so much to eat while you are strolling through, you won't get hungry for an actual sit-down meal at all. Even at the height of the crowds (it was packed during our visit) there was never too long of a wait in the food lines.
  • Picky eater? The prices aren't too expensive for each bit you may want to try. They average between $4 to $8 a small plate. But the portions are large and perfect for splitting.
  • Be adventurous and try something new from a country you might not have the chance to visit in person. It's a great way to experience it!
This was our first year visiting Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival, but I'm sure it won't be our last. It's a fun experience and there is a lot to do to keep you busy in the park all day long. Just bring your appetite and your walking shoes, and you'll have a great time!

    About the Author

Thanks for cruising by!  Along with creating this website and blog, I work in an office full-time and as a mom to two energetic young men. With our family's busy work and school schedule, we look forward to traveling during holidays. Although it seems that our family can never agree on anything, we do when it comes to vacations. We typically travel on cruises or stay at luxury hotels while enjoying upscale dining, beautiful decor, excellent service, and spacious accommodations. However, we still need family friendly and comfortable! When we are not traveling, I enjoy dining out locally, as well as cooking and baking in my own kitchen.
