Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale: Beachfront and Poolside

Luxury meets the beach at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale. From the minute you step foot in the gorgeous lobby, you know you are in for something special. With a bright open feel, it's a tranquil paradise in the heart of bustling Fort Lauderdale. Located on North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, this area is known for shopping and restaurants, so there is already an abundance to do when staying at the hotel. But for our visit, we decided to spend our day lounging beachfront and poolside. 

Head to the 7th floor and you are welcomed into a serene entrance to take you out to the expansive 29,000-square-foot pool deck overlooking the beach and ocean of Fort Lauderdale. Make sure to stop and apply complimentary sunscreen before heading into the hot Florida sun. When you are finished for the day, they have soothing aloe vera to use as well. For me, not having to bring extra supplies when enjoying a day at the pool and beach with my family is the perfect way to start relaxing. 

We have arrived! With a refreshing infinity swimming pool and numerous shady umbrellas and cabanas, it's a wonderful way to relax while peeking up at the beautiful hotel as a backdrop. Pick your spot and get set-up with a plush, fresh towel tucked into your lounge chair by the friendly pool concierge staff.

I personally would love to indulge with a beachfront private cabana. These VIP cabana's majestically overlook the beach and sparkling Atlantic Ocean. 

And THIS beach! One of the most pristine beaches around. From the pool deck, a quick ride in the elevator will take you on a walkway directly to the beach. Grab an umbrella and a lounge chair for everyone in the family and you'll know that you are on a tropical vacation. 

I always appreciate having lunch by the water. As I've found with all Ritz-Carlton properties, the food served at the pool and on the beach exceeds even the highest standards. Enjoy either a light lunch or a full meal, all by the comfort of your pool chair. I highly recommend the fish tacos, appropriately named "Taco Taco Taco!" as well as the delicious shrimp. Just look at the size of these!  

No problem if you want a tropical cocktail to go with your lunch. They have a full bar right outside. This is also a spectacular place to sit and have a refreshing drink while watching the sun glimmer off of the beach and palm trees in the evening. I was disappointed that we couldn't stay long enough to see it for ourselves, but I was told it's one of the most picturesque viewing spots in Fort Lauderdale. 

Plus, there are many activities to enjoy poolside or beachside. Relax in a bubbly whirlpool while gazing at the ocean. 

There is even a section with grass, complete with a play set, for little ones to be active, and adults and kids alike can enjoy an entertaining game of table tennis.

If you do decide to stay overnight at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale (and why not after spending a fabulous day at the pool?!) the guest rooms are super modern and spacious. Don't forget to go for a cool bicycle ride along the beach. Whether you want to participate in an activity or spend time catching up on your reading in a comfortable lounge chair, the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale offers it all poolside or beachside. It's absolutely a memorable way to enjoy your family vacation. I can't wait to get back! ​
