I've recently heard from numerous friends and family that they have never cruised before. What?! Cruising for our family has become the only way to vacation. There are so many reasons what makes cruising the perfect trip. I’ve picked my top 6 why you need to book a cruise for your next family vacation: OneTravel to many different destinations, but only unpack once. This is my favorite. Admittedly, I’m not a great packer. Have you heard of people bringing everything but the kitchen sink? That’s me! So when I get on the ship, I find a spot for everything and don’t worry about it again until it’s time to disembark. By that time, I’ve been to numerous countries and cultures without any work involved. TwoThere is nowhere else you need to go. Forget that rental car. All of your accommodations, dining and entertainment are located on the ship within a short walking distance. This makes it convenient and a great value. You don't even have to carry cash around with you. ThreeRoom make up is twice (yes, 2 times!) a day. Even the best hotels and resorts seldom offer that kind of service. And you’ll have the same room steward every day. They will get to know your preferences and timing. It's true pampering. FourHave a dietary restriction? No problem! Cruise ship galleys serve thousands of meals a day. They bring a huge amount of food on board and are able to prepare custom meals for any restriction or allergy. Just reach out to the cruise line ahead of time to note your dining preferences. Then once on board, head to the dining room and you’ll be taken care of. They may appoint a staff member to walk you around the buffet area to show you the foods you can choose from, or in the dining room your waiter will offer you a few alternative menu choices. You can’t even get this service on land. FiveActivities and entertainment! Only on a cruise ship can you find such a wide variety of exciting entertainment. Visit the spa or fitness center. Head over to the casino and if you win big, take your earnings over to the duty-free shops. Participate in an enrichment class, play bingo, or just relax on the top deck by the pool areas. At night, enjoy a decadent cocktail at a bar, go dancing in a lounge, or see a fantastic show in the theater. They even have kid's activities specifically designed for toddlers through teens. You can be in full party mode or quietly relaxing whenever your mood changes. SixSunsets. Sounds crazy, but this is what cruising is all about. Over the vast ocean, this is the best place to admire a sunset. No buildings to block your way or discolor the sky. It’s just pure beauty…trust me, even the kids will be impressed. If you can get a balcony cabin, I highly recommend it just for the sunsets alone. If you haven’t cruised before but considering one, I know you must have questions.
