Travel And Adventure Ideas For Family TravelAs a family, we are always looking to discover new travel destinations we all enjoy. When I heard the Travel and Adventure Show was coming to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, I knew this would be the perfect reason to visit Washington, D.C. and explore new family vacation ideas. Have you been to a Travel and Adventure Show before? It's a fantastic activity for the whole family! They feature travel and adventure ideas, new products, exhibitors from various tourism boards, and showcase activities in your local region and beyond. You'll also find exciting key note speakers. In Washington, D.C., we were lucky enough to see travel professional icons Samantha Brown, Rudy Maxa, and Peter Greenberg. Plus, they have great interactive events. You must see Culinary Fight Club in action! They host live cooking competitions and even if you aren't one of the chosen participants, they are exciting to watch. You'll also find fun activities for kids of all ages. Discover if rock climbing might be part of your next family adventure vacation. For travel and vacation ideas, here are a few of my top picks we are excited to explore: MSC CruisesWe love taking cruises for family vacations and one of the cruise lines I've been watching is MSC Cruises. They had representatives there to answer questions and offered current brochures to explore your next cruise destination. Their newest ship, MSC Seaside, is currently home based in Miami and cruises throughout the Caribbean. It looks fabulous! ArubaOne of my bucket list destinations is Aruba. I excitedly spoke with the exhibitor from the Aruba Tourism Authority who provided fantastic brochures (and fun giveaway items!) highlighting this beautiful island. They are there to provide guidance and answer any questions that you may have. From where to stay to best places to eat, they cover it all. St. MartinOne of my Caribbean favorites! I was thrilled to see St. Martin represented since they were recently hard hit by the hurricanes. I learned that many hotels, shops, and activities have already reopened and there is more to come in the months ahead. I will definitely be visiting St. Martin again to support this beautiful island. AlaskaAnother of my bucket list places to visit, Alaska, showcased fantastic tourism and adventure ideas. From wildlife, to glaciers and national parks, they had information on a wide variety of the land and sea activities. The railroad tours look incredible. I'm hoping to cruise here one day soon. The Travel and Adventure Show will easily help you plan your next family vacation all under one roof. From warm weather tropical beaches to extreme adventure destinations, there are many ideas to explore. You'll have the opportunity to take away maps, brochures, and calendar of events to peruse before deciding on where your next travel and adventure destination will take you. Where to Stay? For our visit to this show in Washington, D.C., we stayed at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. The location is terrific and they have fabulous rooms and suites that are perfect for your whole family. Plus, the dining is delicious. I highly recommend it!

My Virtual Vacations BlogAbout the AuthorThanks for cruising by! Along with creating this website and blog, I work in an office full-time and as a mom to two energetic young men. With our family's busy work and school schedule, we look forward to traveling during holidays. Although it seems that our family can never agree on anything, we do when it comes to vacations. We typically travel on cruises or stay at luxury hotels while enjoying upscale dining, beautiful decor, excellent service, and spacious accommodations. However, we still need family friendly and comfortable! When we are not traveling, I enjoy dining out locally, as well as cooking and baking in my own kitchen.
