One of our favorite destinations in South Florida is Boca Raton. Besides visiting my family (which is always a selling point!) these are the reasons why Boca Raton should be a stop on your next family vacation to Florida:
There are truly so many beautiful resorts and hotels to choose from in Boca Raton. Whether you are visiting for a night, a few days, or more, explore my recommended hotels in this area. Because they are located in a convenient location for travel, they are also perfect for a short stay before or after a cruise. Boca Raton is typically quieter than staying in Fort Lauderdale or Miami so it's really perfect for families. Upscale and still comfortable for kids of all ages, take a look at our picks below: Most of my restaurant and activities recommendations are located within a 3-mile distance of the hotels listed above. Ask the concierge if they have a complimentary shuttle service or if they can help you arrange transportation. I've also included a few ideas to do with kids noted in purple below. Even though a few picks involve shopping areas, you may want a few places to cool off during the hot, humid summer months. If you are looking for a bit of nightlife, you won't have to go far to visit bustling bars and restaurants. Or by day, lay on the beach at your resort or visit one of the many beautiful public beaches where they have ample parking, facilities, and even gorgeous reefs for snorkeling and swimming. With so much to offer in a beautiful, serene atmosphere, you'll definitely want to come back to Boca Raton again and again!

My Virtual Vacations BlogAbout the AuthorThanks for cruising by!
I'm the creator behind this blog, where I share our family’s love for travel, especially cruising. By day, I work full-time in an office—and all the time, I'm a proud mom to two amazing young men. We took our first cruise when they were energetic little boys, and I’ve included plenty of tips for traveling with kids in tow. With our packed work and school schedules, we cherish every holiday break and make the most of our time off. We gravitate toward cruises and luxury hotel stays, always on the lookout for family-friendly experiences that offer comfort, elegance, and a touch of indulgence—think spacious suites, gorgeous décor, excellent service, and memorable dining. When we're not traveling, you’ll find me enjoying local restaurants or getting creative in my own kitchen with cooking and baking. Start dreaming—and planning—your next luxurious getaway, whether by sea or on land, with My Virtual Vacations. I'm always happy to answer questions or offer personalized recommendations to help you make the most of your travels.
